Nissan Frontier Knock Sensor P0327 (supercharged)

Hey guys I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier supercharged and it’s throwing a P0327 code for a bad knock sensor. I cleared the code with an OBDII scan tool just fine with the ignition on but when I start the truck the code comes back. I was just wondering if this guarantees a bad knock sensor as I was told that it could be something other than the KS that’s bad.

P0327 Knock Sensor 1 Circuit Low Input

From all the other codes a knock sensor can pull, yours is a “Circuit Low Input”

Circuit low or high usually means wiring, so check the wires and connectors to the sensor.

The knock sensor is located under the intake manifold.

To test it, make a mark on the crank pulley,

Start the engine, and with a timing light pointed at pulley, take a tool and bang on the intake manifold near the sensor.

If the mark made on the pulley slightly moves each time the manifold is struck, the sensor is fine.
