Has anyone else bought new water pumps in 2007 that leak? When I say leak, I mean water drips out of the weep hole under any amount of coolant pressure (e.g. the pump shaft seal leaks). I bought a new one from Kragen for my Datsun which started leaking after about 20 miles. I also bought a new one from Napa for my Nissan Pathfinder when I changed the timing belt. It now leaks after about 1000 miles.
On either car, it’s not the gasket, it’s not any of the hoses, both radiator caps were replaced so the relief pressure is correct…it’s definitely the seal via the weep hole on both pumps. …anyone else come across defective pumps?
