An update on our Honda transmission issue - I contacted Honda after doing some research online and seeing that 2000 HOnda Accords are one of the models that have problems with the early demise of their transmissions. HOnda agreed to pay $700 of the $2700 repair bill after I asked for a “goodwill” repair. $2700 turned out to be a good price anyway, but we only paid $2000. It comes with a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. So we had it fixed and hopefully we’ll get some life out of our HOnda before we retire it.
