Hi. I’m new to the area and don’t have an independent mechanic. I took my 2003 Lexus GX470 for regular maintenance at the Lexus dealership. I have to replace a leaking radiator and my timing belt. Can anyone recommend an independent mechanic in the Boston area who has experience with Lexus autos? Thanks you!
Hopefully not letting a cat out of a bag for you but a Lexus is nothing more than a loaded up but nicely engineered Toyota. Toyota’s are generic and don’t require specialty mechanics. Guess what, Lexus’s do not either.
I would simply ask your coworkers or friends etc for a recommendation and go with that.
If you owned a VW, BMW, MB it would be a different story.
