all of a sudden my 2003 grand marquis luggage trunk will not open either by remote or button. however if i put the car in gear truk pops open. have to put in [N] SHUT TRUNK. AND GO. AS I GET TO PLACE AND GO INTO[p] IT POPS.[r] is also fun. posessed???help.
Sounds like an electrical gremlin that also appears to be effecting your computer’s keyboard.

The problem a mechanical one, having to do with the latch itself. Or it is an electrical issue that needs to be tracked down by a person qualified to do so. Anyway you look at it though, you will have to have it diagnosed and repaired by a professional.
