My key takes fiddling to get into the ignition. I have used both car keys that I have. I have used a light lubricant. When I try to insert the key, I have to turn the steering wheel…What can I do? My car is a 2002 Ford Explorer
If the wheels are turned tight ,the ignition key will be tough to turn, but not insert.Got the right keys? Otherwise drill out the steering wheel /ignition lock pin. My Volvo 1972 1800es had a simular problem.Used a right angle drive drill and hogged out the offendind metal!Worked for me.
