HI DERRY from CA. NEAR LOS ANGELES. My 2002 MERCURY SABLE has almost 120,000 miles on it and runs like a dream with only standerd maintenance over the years. Starting 2 weeks ago when i drive to work early before sunrise the lights will come on just fine and about 10 min later or about in the same area on my daily rout both headlights will flash off for a half sec then back on again and then work fine for the rest of the day and that night of needed. Is this the cars way of saying i need new headlights? The running lights stay on and nothing other then the headlights is flashing and again it only doe’s it for a spit sec the one time. Headlights are protected by a circuit breaker, not a fuse. Sounds like you have a short in the wiring and you are seeing the breaker pop and reset…
