My 2001 Alero has just taken up the bad habit of just dying while driving, and within minutes you can start her up again, no problems. The battery & alternator are checked and fine. Appears electrical because clock resets each time this happens.
If the clock resets itself when the engine stalls it indicates a loss of battery voltage which will cause the engine to stall.
You might want to check this out http://community.cartalk.com/posts/list/2130694.page as it applies to your vehicle also.
