Mustang Paint

I have a 2003 Mustang with about 143,000 miles on it. It is losing the clear coat on the roof, parts of the hood and around the windows. Can’t afford to get a new car now, so I need to keep this one as long as I can. Should I get a “cheapy” paint job? Would it be worth it? My poor Mustang looks just “awful.”

A “cheapy” paint job will look WORSE…

If you get a cheapy paint job, like the ones at MAACO, it’ll look horrible all over again in 2-3 years.

What I’d do, is go to a good body shop, and ask them for an estimate - - if you’re only losing the clear coat, then they’d only have to spray clear on it and buff. That would be a lot cheaper than a repaint. Estimates are free and non-binding, so it can’t hurt.
