Whoever designed this is strange. No dipstick.
Sometimes when I’m coasting, I press the accelerator and there is a jerking as the transmission drops into gear. There is also a vibration that happens through the pedal that lasts for a long time like idling at a stop light, and suddenly it will go away. It starts rolling fine after the green light but I’m wondering if the transmission is bad and if there is a way to check the trans fluid.
It’s a 99 ML430 and unlike the commercials on the tellie, I’m not really in love with my Mercedes… New engine, new brakes X2, sensors dying, etc… Lemon? I almost thought so…
Most local shops won’t touch it either… Any help???
