It was raining today PM. I was adjusting the external right mirror, wouldn’t move, also the left mirror and seats quit working suddenly. Back to home, checked the fuse box, as expected bad fuse. Now everythng is working again, start adjusting the same mirror, noticed a smoke coming from between the mirror and the casing(behind the actual glass). I guess It is a short(rain+ damaged wire). Any idea how can I open the mirror and look inside it? Never had a broken mirror motor before.

The motor is likely toast. I could definitely be wrong, but at least my reply will bump this thread to the front where someone like Craig58 will be able to find it easier!
I don’t know if I can tell you anything you don’t already know, I assume the motor is burned out. The replacement assembly costs about $500:
