Move over, Prius. Ford’s new C-Max wants your lunch. The C-Max is supposed to get better gas mileage than the Prius-v with a MSRP that is $1300 less. And it has 40% higher horsepower than the Prius v. Do you know anything about the C-Max?
They are selling them for a while in Europe. You can read a bunch at www.ford.co.uk
While you are there take a peak at the diesel powered Ranger, Fiesta etc.
I seen where they have an option for your keyfob that if you wiggle your foot under the rear bumper, it’ll pop open the hatch for you.
Wow, we will never get it-Kevin

That feature is also available on the newly redesigned Escape, which is hitting dealer lots now.
@kmccune
the C-maxx is supposed to be out in 2013 i believe.
I hope we get it-because if we dont,I’m gonna start believing in conspiracies again-Kevin
edmunds has pricing info on it already. Looks like it’ll be a hybrid, too. No MPG ratings yet
Unfortunately no non-hybrid option. Curse you, Ford! I don’t drive enough to make a hybrid work financially, but this is arguably my favorite class of vehicles, and only Mazda gives me a proper option.
(disclaimer: I am invested in Ford stock and bonds)
Not yet anyways. They still haven’t given much info on it yet that I’ve seen, so a non-hybrid is probably in the works, or they’re just showing it available in a hybrid to get more people interested in it.
It’ll probably give the larger Prius model a run for its money
Last I read it’ll be hybrid-only to start, with an EV version later. No mention of a plain gas version.
