i have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee ltd and for a few months my turning signal has been working on and off. sometimes i won’t have issues with it for a week, and sometimes it doesn’t work for a couple days. it’s very random and i assume its an electrical issue. has anyone else had this problem? is it expensive to fix?
My first suspect would be the combination flasher unit. Pins 1 and 6 of the unit should both have power on them when the key is ON, though pin 1 is always hot.
Been there, done that ;( Got the new multifunction switch and all is well. I had a broken wire in the switch. Same symptoms of random function or lack of function.
