Loud & strange noise

I enjoy your Saturday show. I have a 2002 Saturn VUE. It runs fine save for 1 thing- it makes a loud engine noise anywhere from 10 to 75 MPH. It is very bothersome, like your in the belly of a WW II bomber. The only time that this loud noise isn’t there is when I am making a right turn. Given that it has to be the power sterring pump, right?

or maybe a bearing or CV joint or something foreign object etc.

I’m curious about how long you have been hearing this noise coming from–possibly–your engine. I agree with Mr. Meehan about the other possibilities for this noise, in addition to the power steering pump.

However, just on the chance that it is coming from the engine, I would suggest that you have the car towed to your mechanic for examination. If this vehicle has AWD, it should be flat-bedded, rather than being towed.

It has been happening perhaps a month. My VUE does have AWD I will have mechanic have a look. Thanks.
