I hear on the news that there has been a lot of panic buying of gasoline because of the hack of the pipeline. Here’s a relevant article:
It reminds me of when I was a college freshman in New England. I had an upper classman friend from Texas who every Fall loaded his o-o-l-l-d station wagon with 5-gallon gas cans, filled at Texas prices. The gas would last him just about through the Spring semester. I was certainly young and foolish to ride around town with him, but he knew a lot about cars and I wanted to learn.
