Does anyone have a link to the article referenced on the show about the French employees that were fined thousands of dollars for working overtime? It was in the Sept. 5, 2009 show.
No, but it was a dedicated engineer who felt he was doing his company and country a foavor by working hard. Apparently the French goverment disagreed, since they felt that during an economic slowdown work should be shared to keep everyone busy. I believe it was the 30 hour week which caused the problem. This type of thinking is precisely the reason why communism did not work.
The are now rethinking the short week, and will soon abandone it.
