I have a 2002 LS w/155,000 miles. On a recent visit to the Lincoln service shop, the mechanic informed me that the Torque Converter is slowly disintegrating. They claim I will need to replace the whole transmission. Are they correct?
Are you noticing any symptons?
What test did the mechanic perform that enabled him to come to the conclusion you have stated?
Why did you vist the Lincoln Dealer? good coffee?
Do you have any driving problems? Did the mechanic give any reasons for his claim?
I would stick with a good Lincoln dealer for this particular car.
