My 2002 Jaguar X-type jerks back hard when accelerating. Each time this has happened, my tachometer has read between 2750 and 2900 rpms. The jerking doesn’t always happen; sometimes I can rev straight up to rather high rpms without difficulty. I have suspected the automatic transmission of being the cause. I took the car to a certified Jaguar repair center and the chief technician there told me that there was nothing wrong with my car. He’s obviously wrong. What the heck is wrong with my car.
