I have a 2000 Ford E-350 van, 5.4L V8, 100,000miles, and auto transmission.
About a month ago the transmission started jerking from 1st to 2nd. I always occured from a stop accelerating slowly. The shift from 2nd to 3rd and 4th was ok. Also when you acclerated to high rpm from a stop the van would shift smoothly from 1st to 2nd gear.
Any quick fixes for this outside of a transmission overhaul?
Have you been getting the trans fluid changed every 30-50k miles?
My last transmission change was at 55,000 miles so I’m almost due for another one.
