We have a 2000 Cadillac Deville which jerks when you shift it and you can also feel it when it shifts while driving. It doen’t do it all the time, so it has been hard to pinpoint. The service soon light has came on and the codes read. We have replaced the torque converter and map sensor. Now we are being told it could be the trottle sensor. Could this be causing our problem? Sometimes it feels like the whole bottom of the car will fall off.
Engine computer is just one of the things that could cause the problem. You could look forever and you might not know what’s wrong unless you guess the right part. Motor and transmission mounts can cause it too.
what were the codes???
who is we, is this being done at a shop? whats the whole story?
