Jeep steering wheel intermittently shaking

Car will have no problem at first, but sometimes after driving for a while steering wheel will start shaking at around 40 mph. It can get so bad, front seats will shake too. We had this problem last summer, it went away in the winter, and now is back with the warm weather. Two front tires are worn on the outside, and hubcaps feel really hot after this happens. Brakes, calipers, rotors, etc. replaced 6 months ago. Could it just be the tires?

Jeeps are prone to what is called the Death Wobble. It can be caused by many things.
Your best bet is to go to jeepforum.com and search for “death wobble”. Its been done to death there. Good luck.

Thanks.
