i have a 2000 jeep with a 4.0 in it and it runs awesome its got only 37,000 but when its running the clutch on the air conditioning kicks on every 30 or 40 seconds no air is on if feels like its surges slightly when it happens how do i get it to stop
The system may be low on R134-a refrigerant. That will cause it to cycle.
The reason your compressor is coming on this time of year is that it will come on whenever you select the defrost mode on the dash. This helps to dry the air inside the jeep. You know all that water you see dripping out under the car in the summer? That’s condensation. It’s still there in the car in the winter.
i will fill the system an see if that works and get back thanks
