A friend in Cedar Rapid had a '60s VW with a ‘cloud roof’ - he called it.
I got a private message from him about annual safety inspections.
When my vw was t boned, I had an injured passenger, so I exited through the sun roof or whatever it was. A lot easier to do at 19 than it would be at 70.
Exactly. Going from that to a rebadged Monza in 10 year’s time must have been hard to swallow for some of the old timers back in the day.
And, back in the days of different engines for each GM division, the Olds V8 had a reputation for being smoother-running, quieter, and slightly more reliable than the Buick V8.
Really? You prefer the Monza based Starfire to the early 60s Starfires?
I preferred the 429 in our Cadillac Series 62 hardtop.
Well, the Olds V8 was “related” to the Caddy V8, unlike the Buick V8.
T-tops?
I was never a fan, fwiw
Monza was the corvair. What are these guys running out of names under trademark? Can’t think of any new ones? Can’t afford to register them?
Removable tops in my view are bad. Gotta store them, then takes two to put them on, and can’t carry them with you.
The ones I showed?
I just put mine behind the seats but that’s what that ugly rack can be used for if the owner so chooses. And you can easily put those on by yourself.
Context:
I was correcting which Starfire VDCdriver thought asemaster was referring to.
Rewind about 8-10 posts back and it will start to make sense to you.
Read his post again. He stated that he was thinking about the same type of Starfire whose ad I posted.
Please stop being rude and insulting
I’m trying not to be, but I find the lack of basic comprehension in this decade distressing.
I owned one, but it was also a Chevrolet model in the 70s and is now a new Chevy model in China. No word on whether it will make it to the US. Lots of car companies recycle names.
