Son drives 1999 Subaru Legacy Outback. Speedometer would work intermittently. We began at speedo cluster using voltmeter to confirm steady current was being received at the head. Wire had steady current, but lost it across 5 pin connector. We resoldered connector which solved current problem, but now speedo records mileage twice as fast as normal? What did we do wrong?
