At startup, my 2002 Jeep A/C cools normally for about 10 minutes and then stops cooling. It won’t cool again until much later, usually not until the next day, and then repeats cooling for about another 10 minutes . Might this be overcharged? I topped it off with gauge last fall.
It is easy to overcharge an a/c system with DIY cans. Three ounces above the proper amount of refrigerant can shut the system off on a hot day due to high pressure.
The radiator/condenser fan motors have been known to fail on the KJ, did you check if it is working?
Thanks for the reply. The radiator fan runs and engine temp is stable. Sounds like it needs to bleed off an ounce or two.
