1999 escort 2.0 sohc. car stopped running/won’t start. valves don’t move when viewed through the oil fill hole. probably needs a timing belt(190,000mi). Question? how do I tell if my valves are bent before I put the belt on. There are limits to what I want to tackle. HELP
The 2.0 escort is a non-interference motor. Get a timing belt, belt tensioner, and water pump and go to work.
