I saw a rather pointless bumper sticker today

Hi. Could you please bring this a bit closer to cars? Thanks.

DRAT! I missed out on the fun again. :neutral: (Why don’t we have a frowny face emoticon?)

If the number was really 666-66-6666 I would have guessed “W” or Dick Cheney, but I suppose those two draft dodgers wouldn’t be in a military database in the first place. . .

Sorry, I couldn’t resist the chance for a quick laugh. . .

@“Ed Frugal”

We do have a frown face emoticon :frowning:

Press and hold the shift key, then semicolon. Then release them and press the f key

Let’s see you do it . . . :relieved:

Emoticon. :flushed: Whoa! You just blew my mind! Let’s see, using my. . . brain. . . if I shift, semicolon, a, b, c, most letters of the whole alphabet give me different faces I can make, right in front of my face and I never knew it. Thanks @db4690 .

Apologies to @cdaquila , I realize its not car-related, but I learned something here today. . .

:astonished: :bawling: :confounded: :hushed: :relieved: :frowning: :confused: :rage: :naughty: :innocent: :sunglasses: :dizzy: :grey_question: :tongue: :triumph: :sweat_smile: :mrgreen: :love: :smirk: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :trollface: :relaxed: :kissing_closed_eyes: :astonished:

Man, it goes on and on, now I know what “Weird Al” meant in that lyric, ". . .think you should only, write in emoji. . . "

@“Ed Frugal”

Glad to see you figured it out

You’ve earned a gold star :star:

The correct term is “emoji”:

;-]

@insightful

Thanks for that information

I’m going to be a rebel and continue to call them “emoticon” :cookie:

I remember our 54 Ford. V8, straight stick, Mainline, Shy haze blue.

Incidentally this matches the two center digits of my social security number which is 54, which is the year it was issued.

I would have guessed "W" or Dick Cheney, but I suppose those two draft dodgers wouldn't be in a military database in the first place. . .

So they have a lot more in common with Bill Clinton and Obama than I thought.

Of our 43 presidents, 32 had military experience.

@B.L.E.

I thought W did a stint in the Air National Guard

But I also remember hearing that he didn’t actually complete his obligation :wink:

Do you feel that military service should be a requirement for applicants?

One of our worst presidents was a brilliant general in the Union Army. Ulysses Grant. So no, I don’t feel that military service should be a requirement.
Jimmy Carter also retired from the Navy with the rank of lieutenant but he was also a dud as a president.
