I drive a 2002 Ford Ranger and lately I’ve been hearing a cricket sound early in the morning when I first crank her up…Used to be that sound only came around on really rainy days, but would go away after about 30 minutes of driving. Now it occurs more frequently…Is it the belt?..
Listen around the AC compressor. You may have a clutch squeeking.

A pulley bearing and/or the belt. Using a short piece of garden hose as a stethoscope, it should fairly easy to pin done. Be extremely careful- you don’t want to catch anything (fingers, hair, etc.) in the belt!
