I’m a few weeks behind, but I do remember when this first aired, or at least when it was on NPR.
Tom was saying how his daughter was riding with him and asked how a car works. He explained it. Since there was a hole in the dashboard she could see what was going on where the engine was.
So she said something like, “Yes, I can see the fire, Daddy!”
He told her oh, no, honey, you can’t see it. Turns out the car was on fire.
