dodge ram 2500 driving along didn’t want to go in 2nd gear. Pulled over would not go into any gear. Turn engine off shifts into all gears, try and start in gear jumps(in gear). Fluid OK. Pedal soft would it be cylinder or slave? How to check?
Have you checked the fluid?? Sounds like it’s all gone… Find the leak and fix it. Fluid is OK? Then the MASTER is suspect…Have someone WATCH the slave cylinder operation while you pump the pedal up and down. The slave should push the clutch arm back and forth. If it does not move, it’s the master for sure. If it DOES move, the clutch arm, its pivot ball, the throw-out bearing or the pressure plate have failed.
