Hello,
My friend has a 2000 Honda odyssey with a fairly loud humming with a high frequency or vibration coming from somewhere in front of the driver that is most loudest at speeds of 35 mph or higher and it goes away when the the steering wheel is turned to the right but not when it is turned to the left.
We put the front end up on stands and put the van in gear and spun the front wheels up to 50 mph and the sound/vibration was virtually undetectable.
Anyone have any idea what this might be?
Thanks
It is very likely that your friend’s van needs a new passenger’s side front wheel bearing.
Bad wheel bearings have the potential to be dangerous, so I wouldn’t waste any time about it.
Thanks for the advice. I will let my friend know.
