The horn in my 2006 Dodge Stratus is not working. It’s not the fuse. I had it checked. Could this be in the electrical system and if so, is this a costly repair? I am a fist time car owner. Thanks!
The horn circuit is part of the electrical system and sometimes uses a relay to switch the horn on, that is controlled by the switch in the steering wheel. The problem could be with one of those things. The horn itself could also have a problem and may need to be replaced.
It shouldn’t cost too much to fix this but it will depend a lot on what is really wrong. You may be looking at a couple hours of shop time to fix it though I would think it really will be less to find the trouble and fix it.
