Honda Civic Ignition Switch

ON my 93 Honda Civic, any idea about how much it costs to replace the Ignition Switch?

There are two parts of the ignition switch; the lock cylinder and the electric switch.

Your local Honda dealer should be able to tell you the parts prices. They will also give you an estimate of labor, or you could consult an independent mechanic. Labor rates vary greatly, so it’s difficult for us to give you an accurate estimate.

This ignition switch is $80 (for a Civic with an automatic transmission), if you buy it direct. At least $150 if you buy it from a repair garage. If you can find a neighborhood mechanic who has enough skill…?
As you can see from the picture the ignition lock, and the ignition switch, are made together in this year Honda Civic. http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/parts/partsProduct.jsp?itemIdentifier=190356_0_0_1277&skuDescription=Duralast+/+Ignition+Switch&brandName=Duralast&displayName=Ignition+Switch&categoryNValue=16299999&sortType=&store=1140&isSearchByPartNumber=false&fromWhere=&fromString=search&itemId=prod10878&navValue=16200189&filterByKeyWord=ignition+switch&productId=190356&appQuestionText=With+automatic+transmission&categoryDisplayName=Ignition+(Tune+Up)
