1999 Olds Alero has a high pitched squealing noise that appears to be coming from engine or exaust. Does anyone have a clue?
Have the serpentine belt, the idler/tensioner pulleys, and all the components the belt drives inspected for a worn bearing.

Could be the serpentine belt is stretched beyond limits. Try a new belt.
