we got play in the dry shaft on passenger side of front axel and need to know why? it is a 97 dodge Ram 200 4wheel drive turbo diesel
ram 2500 sorry
It’s probably caused from a defective CV/U-joint.

ok but is there a bearing that holds the axel in place that i need to replace?
No. You don’t have to replace the bearing. You have to disassemble the steering knuckle to the point where that shaft can be removed and replaced.
