1999 Lexus RX300 Is it necessary to remove the wheel cowling? I removed 2 screws but it still feels attached.
With a question that specific, you might want to consult the repair manual. Unless someone on here happens to own your car, we couldn’t say for sure, because every car is different.
I will say that often times headlights are mounted in with little tabs, and then secured with screws. Those tabs might make it feel like it’s attached, but if you wiggle it it will come out. Be very careful, however, because you don’t want to break the tab (or something else, if your headlights don’t work that way).
There are two nuts holding the headlight behind the fender liner.
