My friend has a problem filling her tank with fuel. The gas pump clicks off every few seconds thinking the tank is full. It is the same problem with all pumps. The tank is not full but the fuel pump shuts off early. The car is a 2001 Toyota Solara.
I get that from time to time. I just have to slow down the rate of fuel being pumped into my tank and it usually takes care of the problem (which usually means standing there and holding the lever).
