Full synthetic high milage oil

I recently put full synthetic high milage in my used 09 ford focus with 134k miles and at first I noticed a better response and smooth driving. But the second day the car felt different. Heavy, like I have heavy load in my car. I was using motorcraft synthetic blend. Could this be that the additives and detergents are doing their job and i should do an oil change soon? The bottle smells like laundry detergent compared to the Motorcraft.

Are you sure that you haven’t overfilled the crankcase?
Just to be sure, I suggest that you pull the dipstick when the engine is cold.

No overfilled. I checked the dipstick after putting the oil and this morning too, after runing the engine.

Did ur old filter look like this?

You are supposed to check oil level before starting most vehicles .

I can think of no reason that oil of the correct grade, regardless of type, would have any effect on how the car responded. You may have some other problem.

Might want to check for a dragging brake or a parking brake that did not fully release. Especially after sitting over night. Rainy or snowy or cold where you are? I only use Mobil though and know nothing about motorcraft.

I thought it was the other way around. Let it warm up.

The engine should be off for 15 minutes before checking the oil level. This is from the owner’s manual:
