I had my front struts of my honda civic 2004, 4-door sedan replaced. Mechanic said they were damaging my tires. It cost over $500. Was this a reasonable charge and how much (about) should it cost to repair the back struts which he says are also damaged.
The front struts run $135 or so each for Monroe Sensa Tracs at a parts store. The rest of the charge is labor/parts mark up. Rear shocks run $90 or so for the part. Labor should also be cheaper. These are lifetime warranted for the parts. Ask your mechanic for an estimate and go from there.
