My 2007 Ford Mustang needs a new fuel filter. I’ve that’s an easy thing to do, but I don’t know where the fuel filter is. Guidance?
Ford likes to put them behind the right frame rail just in front of the RR tire…
In this case it's behind the left front wheel. There should be a long plastic cover running lengthwise along the floorpan. This cover will have to be removed and you will need the springlock tool to disengage the filter.
If the filter has never been changed and there are obvious symptoms you may wind up needing a new pump also because a clogged filter can shorten the life of the pump.
