I have a 2002 Ford Escape with 91,000 miles. It shifts (automatic) a bit rough, just a bit of a thump. Is this normal? I am going to change transmission fluid to see if this helps.

Maybe motor mounts allowing the engine/transmission to move a lot at shifts.
