I have a 96 Caprice Classic with an electric antenna in the right front (passenger side) fender. It’s quit working and I need to get to it to make repairs. I understand it takes an act of Congress to remove the fender! However, I notice there is some kind of inner panel at the front of the fender (just behind the front wheel in the wheel well). Can this panel be removed to gain access to the inside of the fender?
That’s what that panel is for. To get at the power antenna. But it’s easier to get at if the tire is removed and the vehicle is supported safely. It’s also easier if you have the proper antenna nut socket.
