I have a 1997 4-runner SR-5. I was moving the driver side view mirror and something had broken. It probably was some spring or clip that looks like a c because now the mirror is flapping with the wind. Is there any way I could fix this?

No fixing. This is a replacement. You may find one at a salvage yard.
