Probably, yes. Especially if you don’t know its complete history.
I don’t know. I have never had one done. If I ever have a car thatdoesn’t run just about as well as new, I would first try some Techron in the tank. If that didn’t work I might try some fuel injection cleaning, but only from a shop with the right equipment. I have seen some chain lube places charging $100 or more for dumping their own 2 bottle system in your tank. Proper fuel system cleaning is not done by pouring something in your gas tank.
