I have a 1999 Dodge Stratus, a little bit of white smoke is coming from between the engine and firewall. Car is running fine, mechanic thinks it probably just needs a new valve cover but nothing I have to do right away and it is safe to drive in the meantime. Does that sound reasonable?
A valve cover would leak oil and cause blue smoke. White smoke in that area is probably a small coolant leak from a heater hose. I would trace the smoke to it’s source to be sure.
