Disconnected wire cable (?)

Car model: Peugeot 308 Hatchback

Hi all,

Just a quick query that concerned me slightly just this morning today. I noticed that some sort of cable had come loose and was just dangling above the pedals (god knows how long it must have been disconnected for!) but I have absolutely no idea where it was connected to? The image should be attached.

Can somebody help me please?

Check if the brake lights work.

If not, that might be the connector for the brake light switch above the brake pedal.

That connector is for the footwell light. Check the footwell light on the passenger side, see if the wire colors match, light green and tan.
