How can I disconnect a factory installed security system in my 1997 Subaru legacy wagon?? It seems to lock the car when I even use the remote to restart the car or just open another door electronically. I try to avoid using the electronic buttons to open doors. If it does lock,I have to wait about 30 minutes for it to recycle and then it starts. The car dealer wants a small fortune to just look at it. I need to know what to do to cut the mess out of my car so it is of no further problem. At 11 years old, it does not need a security system!!
