Does anyone know how to turn off the bell chime when the low fuel indicator triggers? I only want the light to come on in the dashboard, not the sound. TIA
Keep your fuel gauge above 1/4 tank or locate the chime and remove it. Shops that install sound systems and remote starters employ dash monkeys that can do this for you quickly and without much fuss…
Follow the sound until you locate the chime, then unplug the electrical connector.
You should NEVER run the tank low enough to activate the low-fuel alarm/light.
As MC said running the tank that low can damage the fuel filter and cause other problems in addition to the possibility of running out of fuel.
Why in the world would you want to eliminate a chime that you should never hear unless there was a problem?
hmm, didn’t know it would be harmful to car. I’ll keep that in mind. I don’t think I’ll be disabling it then. Thanks for the answers.
