I just had my 2007 Mazda 3 serviced for a 60,000 mile checkup. Before the service, I could swear that when I had my lights on, I could change the degree of brightness of the dashboard lights with the dimmer switch and make it bright orange so I could read the gauges in any lighting situation. After the maintenance, I can only change the brightness when the lights are off or in Auto mode. I went back to the dealer and they insisted that all is fine and nothing is wrong. I like to drive with my lights on for safety, but if I do that, and it’s a cloudy day, I cannot read the instrument panel to see how fast I am going. What’s up, has anyone else had this happen? Any clues?
