My clutch pedal on my 96 Saturn has gotten sticky. It also squeaks when you push it down or release it. It is worse on days when it is really warm, or when I am driving around a lot. I noticed this last summer, but forgot about it over the winter when it didn’t seem to have a problem, but now that the weather has warmed up again it is back.
A little lubricant on the pedal pivot might stop the squeak.
When does it stick? When you push the pedal or when you release it?
My ol’ pickup used to do that. A drop of lubricant on the articulation point of the clutch pedal lever every two or three years did the trick. I used 3-in-one, but you can use almost anything that’ll propogate into the joint with use.
When I release it.
